About Weboversity
The Weboversity framework has been designed to automate the creation and delivery of e-learning content. It is an open source software and XML specification which can automatically generate online Macromedia Flash presentations with voiceovers from both MS Word and PowerPoint documents.
It helps tutors and industry experts to convert their educational materials in to online presentations. The tutor can create a PowerPoint Presentation or a Word Document that will be converted into a Macromedia Flash presentation with voiceovers using Text To Speech (TTS) services by the Weboversity application server.
The implementation can vary from vendor to vendor but has to adhere to Weboversity XML specifications and include the modules shown on the diagram below:
An MS PowerPoint document has to be converted to Weboversity XML.
Weboversity XML has to be picked up and processed by an application server.
It will convert it into a Macromedia Flash presentation adding voiceovers using Text To Speech (TTS) services.
This presentation can then be distributed to university and college students and made accessible via the Internet, PDA, mobiles, etc.
